Gutierrez & Associates PLLC was founded in March of 2015 by our Managing Attorney, Juan Carlos Gutierrez, and his wife, Ana. In the early days, G&A operated out of Juan and Ana’s two-bedroom apartment, where the entire office consisted of an Ikea desk, an old computer, and a small printer. Clients would sit at the dinner table to discuss their cases with Juan Carlos. We are forever grateful to these early clients, who placed their trust in Juan Carlos' expertise, despite the humble beginnings.
After their first successful case, which brought in approximately $3,000 in attorney fees, Juan and Ana used the funds to rent a small basement office and purchase essential office equipment, including a phone and a scanner. Word quickly spread about the new attorney from Villa Corona, Jalisco, who was helping people obtain compensation for work accidents and assisting with other legal matters. As the demand for their services grew, G&A became so busy that they needed additional support. To meet this need, G&A hired Beatriz Villalobos, who remains our office manager and is our longest-serving employee to this day.
As our client base grew, it became clear that our Hispanic clients had a wide range of legal needs beyond just work accident compensation. Over time, G&A expanded its services to include representation for Hispanic-owned businesses, assistance with immigration matters, family law services, and various other personal injury cases. To support this expansion, we brought on Alberto Razo, our Senior Paralegal, as well as other team members. Thanks to the success and impact of our firm, we were able to move from our modest basement office to our own headquarters in Orem. However, we have never forgotten the commitment we made to our clients. We remain deeply grateful for their continued trust and support and are dedicated to representing their interests with the same honesty, respect, and dedication that Juan Carlos and Ana promised in their small family apartment almost 10 years ago.
